Brow & Lash Tinting Information
You will lay down on our specialty heated esthetics bed and your esthetician will apply the dye to your brows & lashes while you keep your eyes closed for about 10 minutes. It is a quick, relatively painless process.
Before any dye is used, your esthetician will discuss your options. Depending on your hair, skin, and eye color, as well as your desired outcome, your esthetician will help you choose the right dye color.
For the brows, the dye is applied directly onto eyebrows and sits for a couple minutes until the color has taken effect.
Tinting the eyelashes involves a few more steps but is still simple. Before dying, a protective eye pad is applied to protect the skin, and you will need to keep your eyes closed for the entire process. Similarly, to brow tinting, the dye is brushed onto lashes and is left to process for a few minutes before wiping off any excess product and removing the eye pad.
Results typically last 3-6 weeks, depending on how much you touch your eyes, how often you wash your face, and what kind of cleanser you use. You will want to steer clear of oil cleansers and oil-based makeup removers for the time being. The less you run your eyes under water, the better. You can always stick to face wipes and use a Q-tip to use a cream cleanser and remove eye makeup without touching your lashes. We recommend to our clients that in order to keep the look of naturally tinted brows and lashes they need to get their lashes tinted every three weeks.
Women who regularly get their eyelashes tinted enjoy several benefits. If your lashes are naturally blond, getting them dyed will create a much more dramatic look for your eyes. The best part is the benefit is around the clock; unlike mascara that you must apply every morning, be careful not to smudge, and wash off at night, with dyed lashes you wake up looking like you already have makeup on. Lash tinting is a great option for women who have busy or active lifestyles. If you spend a lot of time swimming, playing sports or chasing your kids around, it’s likely that you do not often wear mascara. Lash tinting will give you a more polished, coiffed look that is also no-maintenance.
Lash Lift Information
A lash lift-and-tint treatment involves two separate processes, both designed to give you beautiful, fluttery eyelashes for weeks. It makes your lashes bend upwards, leaving them looking longer, and your eyes more open and brighter. Meanwhile, a lash tint is like a brow tint – or applying several coats of mascara. It makes your eyelashes look darker, thicker, and fuller. It is particularly striking on those with naturally blonde or red lashes.
How Does Lash Lift Work and How Long Does it Last?
A lash lift is a chemical treatment. First, one of our licensed esthetician will discuss the result you want – for example, extra curved lashes, a cat’s eye effect, or a defined, fanned-outlook. Next, they will cleanse and separate your top and bottom lashes. The top lashes will be attached to a silicone patch on your eyelid and combed into place. Then, an eye-safe perming solution is applied. The process works similarly to a hair perm – the chemical solution breaks down the bonds in the eyelash, allowing it to change shape. After a few minutes, a setting solution will be applied to seal in the curl. The results last around six to eight weeks, depending on your lash growth cycle.
Lash Lift Aftercare
Avoid water, steam, eye make-up, and make-up remover for the first 24 hours after your lift. As with any perming treatment, exposure to moisture and humidity straight afterward can ruin the result. After 24 hours have elapsed, you can treat your lashes as usual – there is no need to change your make-up routine or stop cleansing your face. Some professionals advise using a conditioning treatment like coconut oil to keep your lashes healthy and nourished post-lift.
